Limestone Quarry in Frisco is one of our favorite river spots around! The water is crystal clear. The stones are easy to walk through with fish swimming around your feet. There are a couple of little waterholes for the kids to swim around in also.

What to bring: Good water shoes for walking through the creek, buckets and nets to catch minnows, goggles for little swimmers, snacks

Getting there: Park at Limestone Quarry Park 1230 Maltby Dr, Frisco, TX 75035. Walk the paved trail to the left 1/2 a mile. Once you are under the overpass you can get down to the creek on the left.

Details: You’ll have to park a stroller and then walk through the creek to get to the fun spots. Go right to get to swimming holes, go left to sit and play on the large limestone. There are a lot of areas to spread out and stay away from other people, so anytime of day should be fine!
